Life is too short. For you younger folks, the older you get the faster life goes by. There’s some math behind that sensation you get as you age…
Anyway, every once in a while, you need to stop, look around and enjoy the little things and what’s most important in life. What better time to do that than Thanksgiving?
September of last year I started my blog. On November 24th 2016, I posted my first “Giving THANKS!” blog. Although this is only the 2nd one of those, I consider it a tradition and I look forward to writing and having you read it next year, and the next and the next… I’m not going anywhere.
So, what am I thankful for this year? EVERYTHING. That would take forever to write about so how about I pick my top five? OK?!
Here’s the top FIVE things I’m thankful for this year from a professional standpoint:
First (again and always), my wife. She also happens to be my blog proof reader so please continue to send any/all typos to her. Without her support, my life (in general and as a Day Trader) wouldn’t be where it is today – not even close. A lot of people talk about “soul mates”. I know what that means.
Second, to my Mom & Dad. The epitome of parents. They taught me so much. The older I get the more I realize this. For those of you who compliment my work ethic, know I get it from them. It truly runs in the family as my amazing sister is probably THE hardest working person I know.
Third, to my work wife Mike (aka GSP). I can’t thank you enough for asking me to put pen to paper on what/how we trade. I can’t believe we’ve already been teaching our course for over a year. The webinars, happy hours and course are all a blast and I look forward to not only teaching alongside you for the next 20+ years, but trading with you daily.
Yes, this text message exchange actually happened this past week and inspired my wording.
Fourth, TRADERS who have taken our class. I prefer not to call you students because I learn as much from you as I hope you do from me. You make me a better trader. Here’s to making some serious $$$ the rest of this year, in 2018 and every year beyond. Go GTMIs!
Fifth, everyone in CHAT. I consider EVERYONE who trades in Mike’s chat part of my extended family. Some of you may be the Uncle Smitty we all hope doesn’t show up for Thanksgiving or Cousin Oliver who I’ll never speak to again, but you’re still family. It’s the best damn room on the Day Trading Planet after all. You too make be a better trader. For a couple of you, it’s by reminding me daily what not to do:)
Seriously, I’m thankful to all the traders out there who follow us, whether you trade with us daily or not. You’re reading this and I don’t take that for granted. Day Trading is freakin’ hard. Together as a community of like-minded traders who continue to grow and learn every day, we’ll continue to be Consistently Profitable Traders over the long haul.
